Think about it this way. Less than one year ago, OUYA was nothing more than an “idea” posted on Kickstarter.
Only a few months ago, the first Dev kits went out to developers.
It takes time to develop quality games from the ground up, but, since OUYA is running on Android, many developers have chosen to port games that have already been successful in the Android market to OUYA. Porting Android games to OUYA mostly involves adding support for the OUYA Wireless Bluetooth Controller
There are already over 150 games and applications listed in the OUYA market after only a few months.
The fact that there are this many games in such a short amount of time is pretty amazing and guarantees a good launch lineup for the OUYA.
Now consider this from the perspective of other game studios and independent developers… Knowing that OUYA has had tons of support and backing from players and knowing there is a strong launch lineup of games, many developers have already made the decision to invest time in OUYA game development and so there are already many OUYA exclusive new games in development. It will take time for these projects to be finished, but they’re coming.
